"She was an angel sent from the High Plains to retrieve a fallen relic. During the dark of night she descended through the sky, the light of the stars drawing the silhouette of her flowing gown. When she felt the cool grass between her toes she set off into the in the direction of the relic's last known location - the Reclaimed City.
After a selfish and arrogant king murdered the beasts of the woods for sport, the God of Nature took vengeance upon all he had created. The gates and the walls of the city became overrun with the living vines, the snakelike servants of the God of Nature. Stone crumbled to expose those living inside, and shortly after the wildlife swept through man and woman, mauling and maiming every last inhabitant including the king himself.
The angel found the city appropriately abandoned, the thick vines that still covered the walls seeming to flex with musculature. The God of Nature saw her approach and became enamored with her radiance. As she walked through the ruins she heard skittering along the dusty stone streets. Before she could react, the serpentine vines had begun to coil around her ankles. She raised her hand towards the High Plainsand leapt towards them with the divine power of a holy seraph.
Her return did not make it higher than the top of the old ramparts before the vines, tugging at her shoulders and waist, began to drag her back to her new verdant prison.” -M.D. Walter
